15 Things I Wish I Knew Before..

Hello guys...

Growing up is a challenging experience and there are a lot of things I know now that I wish I knew before that could've influenced my life in a different way. If I was told these before then I would be a different person to how I am now so hopefully these influence you now before it's too late.

-Friendships: don't stay in the same friendship group if one friend is being awful to you, in the end that person will more than likely end up with only one friend so don't let them make your life hell now! They do not own you, you are your own person. Surround yourself with people that make you enjoy life.

-School is not the best time of your life: adults tell you that you should enjoy being in school because it'll be the best time of your life and they're wrong. For a lot of people school is the reason for depression and anxiety so live in the now, have fun, don't worry about grades so much.

-Learn to say no: nothing makes you feel more powerful than saying no to someone or something if you don't want to do it, you make your own decisions.

-You don't need to explain yourself: we all have our own opinions on different situations and if someone doesn't agree or questions your decision, you should never have to explain yourself. If you feel like you have to explain yourself to your own friends, they aren't the friends you need in your life.

-Mental Illness: having a mental illness is not something you should be ashamed of, there are more people than you can imagine that also have one. Never feel ashamed about who you are.

-Do what makes you happy: if you want to buy something new or change your hairstyle, DO IT! If it makes you happy then it's completely worth it.

-Social media hurts: one of the main reasons that I am so insecure about myself is due to social media, if I knew before just how much it would wreck my self esteem, I would have never been so invested in it, so limit your use of it before it's too late.

-Sleeping: going to sleep early doesn't make you a "baby", it makes you normal, don't feel that you need to stay up past 11pm because that's what all the "cool kids" are doing, it will exhaust you. You deserve as much sleep as you can get.

-You're beautiful: you were beautiful before the boy or girl you like told you you were and you will be for as long as you live. Compliments do not define you.

-Take a day off: taking a day off from life doesn't make you lazy, it makes you happy. Spending your day in bed watching Netflix will make you a lot more happier than spending a day stressing, take the better option, you won't regret it.

-Don't be embarrassed over something you love: being a crazy fan girl or fan boy isn't embarrasing or crazy at all actually, if you love a sport or a band etc, don't be embarrassed because other people don't like it, if we all had the same interests, the world would be boring.

-Never feel pressured: don't be pressured into doing something you don't want to do, it will only leave you feeling guilty for as long as you can remember. It's not worth it, if you don't feel comfortable doing something then don't do it. End of!

-Girls Rule. Boys Drool- I'm kidding but seriously most of the time that boy or girl that is breaking your heart is not worth it, you deserve so much better than an idiot that has no time for you. Ssomeone is probably craving your attention whilst your attention is focused on that loser.

-We all have down days: you may feel like you just don't want to socialise or make any form of movement at all one day, this has happened to me a lot and I thought there was something wrong with me but there's not, it's completely normal to not want to do a thing at all, it'll make you feel better in the long run.

-Dance like nobodies watching: always have fun in every situation, no one remembers the boring events from their life so have fun every day.

I hope that these steps were somewhat useful to do because I know I wish I knew this before I turned 18 and had endless sleepless nights of worrying and fake friends in my life.

Let me know if there's anything you wish you knew before or if these steps have helped you to realise  something you didn't realise earlier...

Loosing Weight Healthier...

Hello guys...

I am aware that many people struggle with their weight or struggle mainting their weight due to their lifestyle and how they go about their day, one thing that I have realised over the years is that excersise is just not for me, I do not enjoy it one bit. No matter how much I wish I did enjoy it, I never will so I refuse to put myself through it. A lot of people do enjoy excersising or being out being active which is very healthy and will cause a great impact if you are trying to loose or maintain your weight as long as you are keeping it to the correct and healthy amount that you should be. Don't over do it, this could seriously affect you! Please don't put yourself through harm at any point during the process that you are undergoing.
Dieting is another form of weight loss that can be annoying and tiring because no matter what you do you're either not eating enough, not loosing the weight you want or becoming emotional because you're missing out foods such as chocolate (we all need chocolate and sugar in our diet at least some where.) I find that cutting food down to smaller portions and not snacking is a much more better and healthier process. This way you aren't cutting meals and you're filling up on proper foods. Having at least one small sugary snack throughout your day will not affect you as much as eating huge portions. Your body needs at least a fragment of sugar to cooperate throughout the day.
I have found that herbal teabags are one of the best ways to help loose or maintain weight. One of the best types of herbal teabags that I have used is Bootea. I bought a box around Christmas time in order to help me maintain and hopefully loose weight throughout the Christmas period, I wasn't dieting as much during the season or exercising but by using these teabags, I was able to still drop a few pounds and you can really see the difference. It made me feel good about myself. With it almost being Summer, I think that herbal teabags are worth having a go at. However some individuals do get a bad stomach from using these teabags which I would advise you not to use if you suffer from this problem already.
Dieting pills may be a solution that you enjoy using and feel like they are working. However, a few individuals have now died from taking an overdose of dieting pills, so please try and stay away from them for your own safety.

I hope that these suggestions have helped you to loose weight in a healthy way. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or leave a comment.

Becoming Myself Again...

Hello guys...

It's been too long since I was actually my normal self and it's been a long time coming. My normal self was always happy, helpful and friendly and since I started college I became someone I wasn't happy being, I was never happy anymore and I was constantly stressed, crying or tired. One thing I missed was being able to have a good night's sleep without worrying or waking up during the night thinking about all the different tasks I had to do, I started to miss being bored. But, on Friday, I finally finished my two years of college which I have been looking forward to since I started college. Finally I am free until September and life has never felt so good!

Since I have finished I have spent most of my time just watching Netflix and sleeping and it has been the best thing ever. I am actually enjoying doing nothing and I feel so much happier already, my biggest aim for the time I have off was to become myself again and to take care of myself because I always put other people before my own needs so now, I will take care of me.

Ways that I plan on becoming myself again are by-

Becoming healthy and happy. I want to take care of my skin and make it the best it's been in the past two years so I plan on drinking a lot of water and keeping it make up free a lot more than I usually do. I am so done with spots.

Spending time with family and friends. I tend to not want to be with people when I am stressed or upset but now that I have a weight lifted from my shoulder, I plan on spending my time off with the people I love the most in hope that it will make me becoming myself again.

Taking time for myself. I'm free for a couple of months and I have just about all the time that I need to do anything that I really want to and that might be nothing at all or something very creative.
Now one thing I do plan on doing is watching a lot of series on Netflix.

Having a rest. Nothing I need more than a good old sleep with a lot of resting and relaxing. I hope that I will be able to have a weekend away during my time off in order to rest and reward myself for all the hard work I've done recently.

Hopefully through all of this, I will become myself again and I will be a lot more happier than I have been, I look forward to keeping you all updated with how that goes!

May Favourites...

Hello guys...

for this weeks post I have decided to make a May favourites post on different clothing, beauty products and general items that I have enjoyed throughout the month of May.
(None of the photographs that I am including are my own)

  • Revlon 24hr Colorstay Foundation: One of my favourite foundations is the Mac studio fix which is quite expensive and I like to only use it on special occassions so I wanted a dupe to the foundation and the Revlon Colorstay was just what I needed. The coverage is almost as good as the studio fix but not 100%, the foundation is quite matte too which helps with my oily complexion. Overall I would rate this foundation a 8/10.

(£9.99 Superdrug)

  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish- Soft and Gentle: I have been loving this product since I received it as a present for Christmas but this month I have really loved the look it gives. I tend to use this just about every day whether I'm trying to look natural or have a full coverage look, I think that it really completes the look. I find this highlight works well in all seasons too. I would rate this product a 9/10, I will always be impressed by it.

                                                                             (£23.00)
  • Makeup brushes: This month I decided that my real techniques brushes were becoming over-used and I really needed some new ones so I took to Amazon where I found these brushes. It took a few weeks for them to arrive with them coming from China, but it was most definitely worth it. These brushes are so soft and I think that these are a lot more affective than the real techniques brushes. For the price, they are most definitely worth purchasing. Overall I'd rate these brushes 9.5/10.
                                                               (£3.99 for all 4)
(£4.29 for all 4)
  • New Balance 420 Navy Vintage Trainers: I am not usually a trainers kind of girl but this month I became quite sick of wearing the same boots that I've had for about a year (Topshop Chelsea Boots you do good) So this month I decided to purchase a pair of trainers and honestly they are the best things I have bought in a while. They are extremely comfortable and I tend to wear them if I can't be bothered to make an effort. I'd definitely rate these 10/10.

                                                                       (£65 asos)

  • Polaroid: For Christmas I received a polaroid camera which I adore. Unfortuntely the pricing for new film is expenisve but completely worth it. With me soon moving away for Uni and not being able to see my friends until weekends, I have decided to take polaroids as often as I can so that I can stick them up in my new room.
                                                                      (Unsure on price)

  • Public Desire Heels- Anais Black Faux Suede Cut Out Lace Up Heel: Heels are one thing that I wear quite a lot on a night out or at parties and I was in need of some new ones. Public Desire is one of those websites that I just know will have heels on that I love and as soon as I entered the website I fell in love. These heels don't have a platform which some may find it hard to walk in but I find them quite comfortable. Overall I am just in love with these shoes so I'd rate them a 10/10.
(£29.99)

What are your May favourites? Did you enjoy this post? Would you like more posts like this one? Let me know.
