Procrastination, Procrastination, Procrastination...

Hello guys...

pro-cras-ti-na-tion |prəˌkrastəˈnāSHən, prō-|
noun
the action of delaying or postponing something: your first tip is to avoid procrastination.

this month I am definitely suffering from the worst procrastination ever!  Whilst attempting to write this post I have walked around the house a few times and picked up my phone many times, nothing is motivating me at all. I realised this morning that I need to sort my life out for this week and being organised really helps me to do that but now that I've made myself organised, I'm completely unmotivated to do anything else.

Recently I have found that even to open my mouth and talk is too much effort, I just want peace and quiet. I do not know what is going on with me. I want to lie in bed and watch Netflix all day but the thought of even loading up the website is too much?! Perhaps I am in need of an energy boost to make me feel a lot better.

I have came up with a list in order to help others with procrastination, and hopefully help myself-

  • Push yourself- by pushing yourself to do the task, you are overcoming procrastination (such as now when I am pushing myself to write this post)
  • Ease yourself- If you are not the type of person to jump straight into doing a task or an essay when you do not want to, ease yourself into it. Take one step at a time, this may take much longer than you wanted to spend on the task but at least it wasn't rushed and you'd feel better about it later.
  • Reward yourself- After each task or job that you have to do but have no energy for, tell yourself that you will receive an award after which may be a nap, some type of food, anything as long as you feel better about it.
Now that I have done this post, I feel so much better and motivated because I'm making this Sunday productive in some ways.

This was a short and unexpected post but I needed to do it.
What do you procrastinate about? Feel free to leave comments below.

GUESS WHOS BACK/ FEBRUARY FAVOURITES...

Hello guys...

I must start with an apology which is becoming very common for me to do now but it's been so long and it's already March. I have no excuse for not uploading either so I must apologise for that. Sometimes life just gets too much and the jobs that you used to do everyday just begins to slip away and thats what's happened to me so I very much apologise.

Anyway enough of that, I have a February favourites post for you today so I better get started, this favourite post will include beauty, clothing, lifestyle and just things in general that I have been enjoying. None of these photographs are mine but I do have these items, nothing that I am writing about is sponsored.

This first product is a makeup remover micellar cleansing water, I have had this product many times before and is definitely worth the price of it. It is roughly around £4.00 for the bottle but it is a huge bottle. You can buy this product from most drugstores.

Slip on vans. I was never a trainer type of gal but I'd buy jeans or trousers that would not go with boots so I knew it was time to invest in some new shoes and these were definitely the right choice. I can not remember the exact price of these trainers but I got them off very.com and they arrived within the next 2 days. These are very comfortable and those type of shoes that go with a lot of outfits.

After a while of making myself not buy makeup, I happened to stumble into superdrug and this is what I found. This product was quite pricey I'd say. I do find that it is quite orange toned when you put it on which is why I like to mix it. It is one of those foundations that you do not need to powder though which is always a plus.

Stila is a new brand to me when it comes to products, I have always been aware of it but did not own a product but then I was advised about the foundation by Stila. This product came with a brush, concealer and foundation. My favourite thing about this foundation is the actual wand/dispenser of the foundation, it is more like a scoop than a dispenser which I find so much better because I'm not wasting as much product. I do find that this product is not too good when it comes to coverage but it's ideal if you want a natural look.

Ok, this lipstick I bought quite a while ago when I started university because I am a lover of lipsticks but usually reds and dark shades so I needed something a lot more toned down and this was definitely a good choice, well done Nadia. I used to wear this lipstick to work and it would actually last the whole night which I find so uncommon these days.

On to brush cleaner, I came across this product in superdrug. Cleaning my makeup brushes is always such a hassle so rather than doing it as frequently as I was, I wanted to buy something to clean them with before I do a "deep clean" with them. The only down side of this product is the smell, honestly it stinks but other than that, it does exactly what it says on the bottle.

Any sufferer of anxiety, overthinking, worrying, this is the book you need in your life. I bought this after seeing it in a youtube video at Christmas and I thought I need that to stop my mind doing overtime. This book is calming just to look through too. I bought this off urban outfitters and I am sure you can still buy it but if not, Amazon.

I hope you enjoyed my February Favourites post, what are your favourites of the month? Feel free to leave comments down below.

How To Feel Christmassy...

Hello guys...

Can you believe it's almost Christmas and 2016? I can't either. Most people have Christmas traditions and use them as ways to get in the spirit of christmas (including myself) but if you don't, I have decided to create a way to help you.
  • Watch Elf or The Grinch
  • Pamper yourself
  • Buy new pjs
  • Binge on chocolate (maybe not too much)
  • Play christmas songs
  • Organise a secret santa
  • Treat yourself to some alcohol (if you're legal)
  • Spoil yourself to christmas flowers
  • Take a bath and set a christmas candle
Hopefully, these ways will help you to get in the christmas spirit, this is only a short post because you know how busy life can be.

Anyway, hope you all have a fabulous christmas and I hope you are all looking forward to bringing in the New Year.

Merry christmas and a very happy new year to you all

London Haul...

Hello guys...

I have decided to do a little haul for you guys after my trip to London last weekend, unfortunately I can barely remember what I bought so this is just a post of what I can remember. (None of these pictures are mine)

Zara- http://www.zara.com

First of all, I went to Zara. Zara is one of those shops that is reasonably priced and sells good quality clothing. Most of the clothing are sizes S-M-L rather than 6-8-10 and so on. Sometimes I do find that the clothing is quite small fitting but that just depends on what the item is that I am buying but the items I did purchase, all fit great.

Jumper- £17.99

This jumper is the best quality jumper I have, its so comfortable and completely perfect for winter. Since buying this jumper, I've probably had it on 5 times already (I have washed it don't worry) but I'd happily live in it because it's so comfortable.

Top- £12.99

I actually bought this top in a emerald green colour as I thought it would look quite festive throughout December and over the Christmas period, I can't find this on the website so this is the next best thing but now that I'm seeing the top in the black, I'm considering buying it. I have not yet wore this top but I can already tell that it'll be one of those tops that you can either dress up or dress down.

Trousers- £12.99

Okay, first of all, these trousers are the best! I wore these trousers with the jumper from Zara to travel home in from London and it was 110% the best decision of my life. Once again these trousers are the type you could dress up or dress down (as seen by the boots in the picture) I am so in love with these trousers. I would recommend them to anyone. Great quality too.

Topshop- http://www.topshop.com

Obviously I couldn't NOT go to Topshop, so whilst I was there I decided to buy the one thing I'd been looking at on the website for so long.

Pinafore- £39.99

I'd been looking online at this for weeks because 1, I love Topshop's denim collection and 2, I'm all for burgundy all year round. I wore this pinafore with a grey high neck jumper the second day of exploring London and it was very comfortable, I found that it's quite low on the sides so it would definitely be better to wear some sort of top underneath.

 Mom Jeans- £42

Not all Topshop jeans are the best quality I have found, especially for the price, but I really wanted some comfortable Mom jeans. I felt that these jeans were quite a snug fit when you first wear them but they will become more comfortable the more I wear them.

Bra- £20.00
Knickers- £12.00

Everyone needs to treat themselves to good underwear every once in a while and I thought, why not buy a love matching set so whilst I was in Topshop, that's exactly what I did. They're so pretty and comfortable too and I just love the set.

Urban Outfitters- http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/

Urban Outfitters is a shop that have visited quite a few times but it's over an hour away from me so I'm never kept up to date with the latest fashion due to the journey (unless I go on the website) so whilst in London, I had to visit.

Shirt- £22.00

I came across this shirt in the shop which was in the sale for £22.00, for Urban Outfitters, this is quite cheap I found especially for a shirt. Once again the sizing is S-M-L and depending on the type of material, this can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I was over the moon with this purchase and you could also buy it in black or burgundy but cream isn't a colour I usually go for so I decided to go for a change.

Victoria's Secret:https://www.victoriassecret.com

One shop you'll find hundreds of girls in? Victoria's Secret. This was my first time visiting the shop and I was completely excited to explore. One thing I will say is that it is a very expensive shop (but completely worth it.) I bought 5 pair of knickers which were on a deal and sprays too.

Bra- price unknown

This bra that I purchased was a sports bra, it is the best bra I own by far and I will definitely be buying more in other colours. I can not remember the price unfortunately. I would definitely recommend buying this bra if you find regular bras, uncomfortable.

PJ's- £46.00

I know that the price of these PJ's are quite pricy but then again, buying 4 pair of pjs from Primark would not last as long as paying for extra for a pair of decent pyjamas. So yeah, it's completely worth the price and the shame of looking at my bank balance after.

I hope you enjoyed looking at a few of the items I bought in London.

Little London Getaway...

Hello guys...

So from the 5th December till the 7th December, me, my mother and two sisters visited London. (Unfortunately my dad was working). After everything that has happened throughout this year, we had to get away and the 5th December was also my 19th birthday so what way better to spend your birthday than in London???

We decided to travel to London by car which took around 4 hours, we would've taken the train but I'm not really a lover of trains. After a long journey and many toilet stops (try travelling with a pregnant sister), we finally arrived. We stayed in Kingsbury which was just one tube stop off Wembley Stadium, the tubes ran frequently too which was good with it being as cold as it is in England.

The first place we wanted to visit was the Winter wonderland in Hyde park. Before I went to London I wasn't feeling in the christmas spirit but after Winter wonderland, I definitely am now!

Hyde park's Winter Wonderland, was filled with christmas decorations, markets (which included food, ornaments, christmas decs, alcohol, hot drinks and clothes!) and fair ground rides. Obviously with it being London, the Park was packed with people so it was hard to get round the whole park without missing anything out. With my sister being pregnant, we chose to not go on any rides because it wouldn't have been fair to make her watch us have fun when she couldn't. So instead, we stuck to looking through the markets.

The market section was called "Angels Market", Winter Wonderland sticking to the theme of Christmas obviously. Angels Market was the cutest, the market stalls were set up like little cabins, it was so adorable.

After Hyde Park, we decided to hit up Oxford Street, this was my first time visiting London, so it was really nice to shop there. (Hopefully I will upload a London clothes haul soon). Once again, the streets of London was kitted out with Christmas decorations.

Without a doubt, London is a beautiful place and with it decorated with Christmas lights, it just made it that little bit more special. Now I'm completely in the mood for Christmas and I definitely can't wait to visit London again.

When we were in London, we couldn't walk too far with my sister being 7 months pregnant so we decided to stick to shopping for the whole weekend rather than go sight-seeing too much, hopefully I will return to London soon to sight-see.

Check out my instagram for more photographs from both my birthday and London- https://www.instagram.com/nadiaelliott/

Lime Crime Review...

Hello guys...

I know it's been a while, sorry about that. But today I am back with a review! This review is on "Lime Crime" which is an American brand, the brand sells makeup products and hair products.
First of all, can we take a moment to appreciate the packaging of the box, opening and seeing the layout and design, really cheered me up big time.

As you can see, I ordered three products from Lime Crime, two of the Velvetines lipsticks and the glitter for eyes.

The first product I chose was the lipstick in shade "Wicked", I have found that this lipstick is in fact quite messy when applying and stains really well which is a plus if you don't enjoy reapplying regularly. When trying out this product for the first time, I found that the feel of the lipstick is dry when it sets, this is because of how matte the finish is. If you aren't used to a matte lipstick, it will be quite a strange experience on your lips.

This product cost £13.31 but there is currently a sale on.

The next product I purchased was another Velvetines in the shade "Cashmere". If you are a huge fan of the grey lip look, I highly recommend this. This lipstick has a purple tone to the grey too which stops from making you look washed out.

This product cost £13.31 but there is currently a sale on.

The final product I purchased was the Lime Crime glitter in the shade Ophiuchus. This glitter highly pigmented and can cause quite the mess when you are using it. I decided to go for this shade because I thought it would go with any shadow look that I was going for.

This product is no longer on the website unfortunately.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchases at Lime Crime, the delivery took 4 working days even though it came from America which I was overly joined with. I will definitely be visiting this website again!

Check them out- https://www.limecrime.com

In Need Of A Break...

Hello guys...

Once again, I am lacking with my blog posts, uni and life is just completely taking over recently. Hectic is a word that I would definitely describe my life at the minute.

Since the start of this year, everything that has happened in my life has just been one big blur. For instance its already approaching the end of October, I am no longer a college student, I finally got a job and I'm about ready to sit my driving test. Life has definitely been very hard and challenging this year to say the least.
When I first started this blog, I was having serious trouble with my anxiety and controlling it but I have found that since starting, my anxiety is a lot better, I was progressing at a great speed and I am so thankful for that. Unfortunately, since around June, I have felt that my whole life is just crashing down, I've had nothing but a hard time and spending most of my time doing Uni work to take my mind off just how terrible things are at the minute.

I've never been so in need of a break, a relaxing time away. A week off would be really good right now, with no responsibilities or social media. But I'm not that lucky, I can just dream about it instead. Being able to even sit down and write out this blog post is a way to take my mind off everything and just sit and relax whilst I type away. It's sort of like talking to myself but I'm finding it so calming to do it. My problem is that the one thing that is making me relaxed, is something that I don't have too much time to do these day due to the pile of work I get EVERYDAY. But I'm not giving up on blogging just yet.

This blogpost was quite useless but I felt that I needed to write something just so I could feel somewhat calm and relaxed for at least 10 minutes of my day. I feel like I have been able to breathe for a second.
